XTransfer to Forge New Partnerships

XTransfer, a cross-border payments provider, is pursuing new banking partnerships at the ongoing Hong Kong Fintech Week and upcoming Singapore Fintech Festival. The company aims to expand its global clearing network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). This marks XTransfer's third consecutive year participating in both major Asian financial technology events.

The firm plans to highlight its payment services and capabilities in AI-driven compliance and risk management during these gatherings.

Expanding Global Reach and Capabilities

XTransfer's settlement network connects paying and receiving banks across nearly 60 countries and regions. This enables businesses to conduct trade payments in their respective local currencies, addressing challenges like limited foreign exchange access and settlement delays, particularly prevalent in emerging markets.

The company's partnership model allows financial institutions to integrate local collection, payout, and foreign exchange services. Partners can also access specific offerings such as Pay-to-China through an application programming interface (API).

Growth and Previous Collaborations

The company serves over one million SMEs globally and collaborates with more than 170 financial partners. XTransfer processed over US$60 billion in payments during 2025, demonstrating significant activity in the cross-border trade sector.

Last year, XTransfer signed agreements with Malaysian lender Maybank, Thailand's Kasikornbank (KBank), and Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) at the 2025 Singapore Fintech Festival. It also partnered with Taiwan's Bank SinoPac and China's Shanghai Pudong Development Bank during the 2025 Hong Kong Fintech Week.

Why it matters

XTransfer's expansion efforts could streamline cross-border trade for Asian SMEs, potentially reducing transaction costs and delays for businesses engaged in international commerce. The firm's focus on local currency settlements and AI-driven risk management aims to enhance efficiency in regional payment corridors.

Further partnerships with financial institutions will likely broaden access to its services, particularly for companies operating in emerging Asian markets. Financial institutions and investors should monitor announcements from the Hong Kong and Singapore events for new collaborations that could reshape regional payment infrastructure.
