Skyro expands Philippine merchant services beyond POS financing
The digital fintech firm now offers SkyroCredit, a reusable credit line with up to 45 days of 0% interest, to deepen customer engagement for its 12,000 partners.

Skyro broadens merchant support
Skyro, a Philippine digital fintech company, is expanding its services for merchant partners. The firm aims to move beyond its established point-of-sale (POS) financing business. This expansion seeks to create new opportunities for merchants and engage customers across more purchasing occasions. The company recently showcased its broader financial services at a "Skyro Mooove" event.
Introducing SkyroCredit
Central to this strategy is SkyroCredit, a reusable credit line for eligible customers. This product enables payments via QR Ph, the national standard for quick response code payments in the Philippines. SkyroCredit offers cashback rewards on qualified transactions, with special limited-time offers available at select merchants. Customers also benefit from up to 45 days of 0% interest on purchases.
Scale and operational approach
Skyro currently serves over 7 million registered users and supports more than 12,000 partner retail locations across the Philippines. The company has facilitated over 3 million loan transactions.
Its operational model uses proprietary data science, artificial intelligence (AI)-driven credit decisioning, and alternative scoring models to broaden access to financing for eligible Filipinos. Dmitriy Vavulidi, Skyro's head of product, stated the company's vision focuses on creating shared value throughout the financial journey, extending beyond individual purchases.
This expansion offers Philippine merchants new avenues to strengthen customer engagement and encourage repeat transactions. By providing more flexible payment options for everyday spending, Skyro's ecosystem allows businesses to retain customers beyond major purchases.
For companies, this can translate into increased transaction volumes and deeper relationships with their customer base, supporting long-term growth in a competitive market.
