HKTDC to open DesignInspire 2026 for global design collaboration
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council event, running 18-21 November, will feature international design studios and brands, including a debut collaboration with Salone del Mobile.Milano.

Hong Kong to Host DesignInspire 2026
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host its annual DesignInspire exhibition from 18-21 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event aims to promote international collaboration and showcase innovative design concepts.
Co-organised with the Hong Kong Design Centre and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA), DesignInspire 2026 will bring together trade professionals, designers, and the public to experience new ideas shaping living environments. The theme, “Wander & Wonder,” encourages exploration of diverse design approaches.
International Design Showcases
A key feature is the debut of ABITO/HK, an exhibition comparing Italian and Hong Kong design and lifestyle evolution, presented in collaboration with Salone del Mobile.Milano. This project involves the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Consulate General of Italy in Hong Kong.
Additionally, “Cabinets of Wonders,” curated by Chilai Howard, will transform Swiss alpine cabins into exhibition spaces, displaying premium lifestyle products and concepts from Hong Kong and Switzerland, including work by kinetic artist Joseph Chan with Swiss luxury watchmaker Parmigiani Fleurier.
Innovative Installations and Brands
Swiss design studio atelier oï will present “Breathing in Motion,” an installation exploring material innovation and circular responsibility, supported by Tribe22. Separately, lighting master Tino Kwan and interior designer CM Jao will debut their “House of Lumiere,” showcasing luminaires from Hong Kong, mainland China, and Europe.
Brands such as Vibia, Davide Groppi, and DCW éditions will be featured, with support from associations like France's Syndicat du Luminaire and Italy's Assoluce.
DesignInspire 2026 provides a significant platform for businesses in the creative and design sectors to forge partnerships and expand market reach across Asia. The HKTDC-organised event facilitates direct engagement between exhibitors, creative talents, and professional buyers, fostering cross-cultural dialogue essential for product development and market trends.
For companies seeking to enter or grow in the Asian market, this exhibition offers visibility and networking opportunities, highlighting Hong Kong's role as a regional hub for design innovation and trade.
