Record Quarterly Performance

South Korean beauty company APR reported record revenue of 773.1 billion won ($579.8 million) for the third quarter of 2026. This figure represents a doubling from the same period last year, according to preliminary earnings released by APR. The company's operating profit also saw a significant increase, rising 68.9% year-on-year to 160.6 billion won.

For the first nine months of 2026, APR's revenue reached 2.13 trillion won, with operating profit totalling 503.5 billion won, already exceeding its full-year results for 2025.

International Markets Drive Growth

International markets were the primary driver of this growth, with overseas sales surging 135% to 722.9 billion won in the third quarter. These sales constituted 94% of APR's total revenue for the period. North America alone contributed 46% of the quarterly revenue, while Europe accounted for 23%.

Together, these two regions made up 69% of total sales, a substantial increase from 47% a year earlier. APR attributed this expansion to robust international demand and expanded distribution across both online and physical retail channels.

Expanded Retail Footprint

APR has actively expanded its retail presence, particularly in the United States. The company has secured distribution through major retailers such as Target, Walmart, and Costco, complementing its existing online channels like Amazon and TikTok Shop. Looking ahead, APR plans to introduce its products into approximately 3,000 CVS Pharmacy stores by the end of the current year.

Separately, APR's flagship beauty brand, Medicube, achieved cumulative sales exceeding 2 trillion won through the third quarter of 2026, the company stated.

Why it matters

Looking towards the critical Black Friday and Christmas shopping season in the fourth quarter, APR intends to further broaden its distribution networks across North America, Europe, and other key markets. The company also plans to roll out products and promotions specifically tailored for local consumer preferences.

An APR official indicated expectations for continued sales growth in these key markets during the peak shopping period. This strategic focus on international expansion and diversified retail channels suggests APR is prioritising global market penetration, which could offer sustained revenue streams for the Asian firm despite currency fluctuations.
