CapitaLand, Ally Logistic break ground on S$260 million Singapore smart facility
The Omega 1 Singapore project, a 71,000 sqm development featuring extensive automation, is targeting completion in the second half of 2028.

Singapore's S$260 Million Smart Logistics Hub
CapitaLand Investment (CLI) and Taiwan’s Ally Logistic Property (ALP) have commenced construction on a S$260 million smart logistics facility in Singapore. Located at 19 Gul Lane, the development, named Omega 1 Singapore, is scheduled for completion in the second half of 2028.
This project will offer a gross floor area of approximately 71,000 square metres, with over 51,000 square metres specifically allocated for logistics operations. Omega 1 Singapore is an asset held under CLI’s CapitaLand Southeast Asia Logistics Fund (CSLF).
Integrated Automation and Green Design
The new facility will incorporate a built-in automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) capable of handling more than 65,000 pallet positions, supporting both ambient and air-conditioned goods. This system is designed to scale with tenant requirements.
The Omega platform, developed by ALP, integrates industrial real estate with shared automation, proprietary software, and AI-enabled operational tools. Additionally, Omega 1 Singapore aims to achieve the Building and Construction Authority’s Green Mark GoldPLUS certification, featuring a solar-ready rooftop, facade greening, and extensive landscaping.
Ally Logistic Property's Regional Footprint
Omega 1 Singapore marks ALP’s inaugural deployment of its integrated Omega logistics infrastructure platform within the city-state. ALP, recognised as Taiwan’s largest logistics infrastructure developer, currently manages eight logistics parks encompassing over 800,000 square metres of warehouse space.
Since expanding into Southeast Asia in 2019, the company has established operations in both Malaysia and Thailand. Under the same CSLF, ALP is also developing Omega 1 Bang Na in the Greater Bangkok Metropolitan Area, which is set to become Thailand’s largest standalone logistics campus, with its first phase expected to conclude by the end of September this year.
Meeting Asia's Evolving Supply Chain Needs
Singapore’s logistics sector faces persistent challenges from land scarcity and labour constraints, alongside the growing complexity of integrating physical infrastructure with automation and software. Omega 1 Singapore aims to alleviate these issues by providing shared, standardised infrastructure, enabling businesses to adopt advanced logistics capabilities more efficiently.
Patricia Goh, CLI’s CEO for Southeast Asia and global head of logistics & self-storage, notes increasing institutional investor and occupier demand for technology-enabled logistics infrastructure across Asia Pacific.
This trend is driven by factors such as an ageing population contributing to labour shortages, sustained e-commerce expansion, and AI-driven transformations in business processes and supply chains.
