ASEAN Trade Expo to Feature 200+ Women-Led Enterprises in Manila
The "Way of the Weave" themed event, hosted by the Philippines from November 10–12, 2026, aims to link regional craftsmanship with international buyers and investors.

Regional Showcase for Crafts and Enterprises
The Philippines will host the ASEAN Trade Expo 2026, themed "Way of the Weave," at the Okada Manila from November 10–12. This event, a flagship initiative of the Philippines' ASEAN Chairship, is set to gather over 200 women-led enterprises and cultural industry participants from ASEAN nations and their Southeast Asian partners.
The expo aims to foster market connections and new business opportunities for regional artisans and businesses, moving beyond mere cultural display. International buyers, investors, trade ministers, and regional decision-makers are expected to attend.
Diverse Offerings and Country Participation
Exhibitors will present a range of products, including textiles, traditional weaves, handicrafts, and cultural goods, all reflecting the unique character and economic potential of their respective nations. The Philippines and Singapore are currently leading the country booth exhibition, each securing a 24-square-meter display to showcase their national products and enterprises.
The Philippine showcase, for instance, will feature award-winning weaves from the Amazing Weaves Distinction Awards 2026, highlighting traditions like T'nalak, Yakan, and the UNESCO-recognised Aklan piña.
Collaborative Organisation and Leadership
The ASEAN Trade Expo 2026 is a collaborative effort, organised with WomenBizPH, the Philippine Country Local Organization of the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs’ Network under ASEAN-BAC Philippines.
Key figures leading the initiative include Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) Commissioner Rosemarie Rafael, who also chairs Airspeed Group of Companies, and Myrna Yao, CEO of Richprime Global Inc. and a fellow PCW Commissioner. Karen de Asis, a 2025 ASEAN Women Entrepreneur awardee, also contributes to the event's leadership.
Economic Opportunities for Regional Businesses
The expo offers significant economic prospects for participating enterprises, particularly through available business matching services and free visitor registration. By bringing together diverse cultures and businesses, the "Way of the Weave" seeks to create stronger cross-border connections.
This platform allows regional artisans and women entrepreneurs to expand their reach from local markets to a global audience, directly impacting livelihoods and fostering economic growth across Southeast Asia.
