AIWM Singapore Appoints Chiara Bartoletti President
The Association of Independent Wealth Managers (AIWM) Singapore has elected its new leadership committee, with Ms Bartoletti, Managing Partner at Eightstone, taking the top role.

AIWM Singapore Leadership Transition
The Association of Independent Wealth Managers (AIWM) Singapore announced its new committee for the 2026–2028 term, effective from a statement issued on 8 October 2026. This follows the association's 15th Annual General Meeting held on 30 September 2026. Chiara Bartoletti, who is Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Eightstone, has been elected President.
She previously served as AIWM Vice President during the 2022–2024 term, bringing continuity to the leadership. The association also acknowledged the contributions of outgoing President Jolene Tan of SingAlliance, who completed two consecutive terms.
New Committee Members and Roles
The newly formed committee includes several prominent figures from Singapore's wealth management sector. Gary Cheo, Chief Executive Officer of Avallis Investments, has been appointed Vice President, while Alexander Floersheim, Managing Partner at Lumen Capital Investors, assumes the role of Secretary.
Matteo Devecchi, Chief Financial Officer for Mindful Wealth, will serve as Treasurer. Both Mr Cheo and Mr Devecchi were members of the previous 2024–2026 committee. Other key appointments include Cecilia Sha of Abacus Asia Wealth Management overseeing Regulatory and Advocacy, and Weina Crochet Li from Sunline taking charge of Education.
AIWM's Industry Mandate
Founded in 2011, AIWM represents a broad spectrum of independent wealth managers in Singapore, including external asset managers (EAMs), family offices, banks, and various service providers. The association, recognised by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), comprises over 80 member firms.
Under the new committee, AIWM aims to continue its focus on promoting industry best practices, fostering engagement with regulators and other stakeholders, and providing support to its members through professional development, education, and networking opportunities.
This leadership transition at AIWM Singapore signals a continued focus on professional standards and regulatory dialogue within the city-state's wealth management industry. The new committee's mandate to promote best practices and engage regulators directly affects how independent wealth managers operate and adapt to evolving compliance requirements.
Firms should anticipate ongoing initiatives for professional development and networking, which can influence talent retention and collaboration across the sector. The association's role in representing its 80-plus member firms to the MAS remains a crucial channel for industry feedback and policy influence.
