Syfe Offers 3.0% Projected Yield on New Singapore Dollar Cash+ Enhanced Product
Singapore's Syfe introduced Cash+ Enhanced, a new Singapore dollar product projecting up to a 3.0% annual yield with no lock-in period or minimum deposit.

New Cash Management Option
Singapore-headquartered digital wealth platform Syfe introduced its Cash+ Enhanced product. This Singapore dollar offering projects an annual net yield of up to 3.0%. The product features no lock-in period and no minimum deposit requirement. It becomes available to all Syfe users from 18 August 2026. This expands Syfe's existing cash management portfolio.
Addressing Investor Demand
Cash+ Enhanced invests in a diversified portfolio of short-duration bond funds. Syfe designed it for funds investors do not expect to need for one to two years. A Syfe survey revealed 86% of respondents were dissatisfied with their current cash management solutions or open to alternatives. Higher yields motivated 64% of respondents to switch, while 66% cited no lock-in period. Flexible withdrawals were the main attraction for 74% of respondents considering short-duration bond products.
Market Context for Yields
Ritesh Ganeriwal, Syfe's Head of Investment, noted Singapore's six-month Treasury bill (T-bill) yield dropped significantly. It fell from above 4% at the end of 2021 to below 1.6% today. This presents investors with a choice between lower returns or increased interest-rate risk.
A 10-year government bond, for instance, offers just over 2.3%, a mere 0.7 percentage points above a six-month T-bill. However, it carries approximately 18 times the interest-rate risk. Ganeriwal stated Cash+ Enhanced bridges this gap.
For investors in Singapore, Syfe's Cash+ Enhanced offers a higher-yielding alternative for liquid funds. The product addresses a clear market demand for better returns without sacrificing accessibility. Given the current low-yield environment for short-term government securities, this offering provides a relevant option for managing 'soon' money.
It allows individuals to seek enhanced returns while maintaining liquidity and risk management, a key consideration for Asian investors.
