Singapore AI Firm on Forbes Asia List

Sapiens Technology, a Singapore-based artificial intelligence (AI) company, has been named to the 2026 Forbes Asia 100 to Watch list. The firm, which develops the Agnes AI platform, was recognised in the Enterprise Technology category. This year's list features 100 privately held companies and startups from 16 economies across the Asia-Pacific region.

Sapiens Technology was one of 15 Singaporean companies included, making Singapore the second most-represented market after India.

Agnes AI's Expanding Reach

The company's Agnes AI platform focuses on building foundation models for text, image, and video. These models serve developers, startups, and other product teams. Sapiens Technology reported over two million registered users globally in October 2025, with approximately half of its user base located in Southeast Asia.

Forbes specifically highlighted Sapiens Technology's ability to train these advanced models in-house and its progress with products like Agnes 2.5 Pro Alpha.

Pioneering AI Parity

Bruce Yang, Founder of Agnes AI, stated that the Forbes recognition validates their early commitment to training frontier-grade models across all modalities outside established AI centres. He added that the company's mission is to achieve AI parity, by making advanced capabilities accessible to developers and teams building real-world products.

This external signal follows a year of expansion for Agnes AI across its text, image, and video offerings, alongside increased real-world usage within its ecosystem.

Regional AI Sector Validation

This recognition for Sapiens Technology validates Singapore's growing capabilities in advanced artificial intelligence development. It shows the commercial viability of building proprietary foundation models within Asia, potentially drawing further venture capital interest into the region's burgeoning AI ecosystem.

The firm's focus on making frontier-grade AI accessible could also spur innovation among developers and startups across Southeast Asia, fostering new product development and market competition.
