Mitsubishi, Hitachi, QuikBot Integrate Robot Access for Singapore Buildings
The partnerships enable autonomous machines to verify identity and manage permissions for elevator use, with initial deployments and demonstrations underway in Singapore.
Mitsubishi and QuikBot Establish Integration
Singapore-based QuikBot Technologies has signed an agreement with Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) to integrate its QuikSync platform into Mitsubishi's existing building systems. This collaboration allows autonomous machines to verify their identity and manage permissions for accessing secured areas, calling elevators, and moving between floors.
Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) will retain full authority over the safety and operation of its elevator and building infrastructure, mandating prior written approval for any technical modifications affecting these systems, according to the companies.
QuikSync's Role and Previous Deployments
QuikBot describes QuikSync as a "trust infrastructure for physical AI," designed to facilitate secure interaction between robots and building equipment under specified policies. The platform also records these interactions.
Prior to this new agreement, QuikSync had already been deployed with Mitsubishi at several commercial sites in Singapore, including South Beach, Mapletree Business City, Geneo, and Ascent. These deployments, supporting delivery, cleaning, and security robots, went live in April 2026, QuikBot stated.
Hitachi Explores Similar Integration
Separately, Hitachi High-Tech (Singapore) is collaborating with QuikBot to explore and validate QuikSync's integration with Hitachi elevators and building systems. This initiative will begin with establishing an installation and demonstration environment in Singapore.
The companies intend for this to precede potential pilots, reference deployments, and wider adoption across Southeast Asia. Hitachi High-Tech (Singapore) plans to coordinate expertise from its broader group, targeting commercial buildings, hospitals, semiconductor plants, manufacturing facilities, logistics centres, and hotels as key markets.
These partnerships aim to meet the growing demand for secure and efficient autonomous operations in complex environments. QuikBot CEO Alan Ng highlighted the critical need for identity and accountability in sensitive settings like hospital wards and cleanrooms.
For businesses across Asia, this infrastructure could streamline operations in delivery, cleaning, security, inspection, and healthcare. Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) managing director Hideyuki Mori noted the collaboration targets sustainable growth for both companies, contributing to smarter, more sustainable future operations.
