Grab, GXS Bank Launch EV Financing, Charging for Singapore Drivers
Singapore drivers can access up to 100% financing for electric vehicles and over 3,000 charging points via Grab's new integrated platform.

Grab Rolls Out EV Charging Network
Grab and GXS Bank have introduced new services for Singaporean drivers transitioning to electric vehicles (EVs). This includes an in-app EV charging network, which began trials this September. Developed with charging solutions provider Voltality, the network offers access to over 3,000 charging points from operators such as SP Mobility, EV Mobility, Busways, G.Tech, and MNL.
Drivers can locate nearby stations, check real-time availability, and pay using their Grab wallet, with relevant partner discounts applied automatically. Alejandro Osorio, Managing Director of Grab Singapore, stated this initiative supports drivers in adopting green mobility.
GXS Bank Tailors EV AutoLoans
GXS Bank is offering tailored GXS AutoLoans specifically for Grab drivers. The bank incorporates platform earnings and track records into its credit assessments. Eligible drivers can secure up to 100% financing for new electric or hybrid vehicles, with repayment periods extending up to 10 years. This may remove the need for an upfront downpayment for some approved loans.
Pei-Si Lai, Group CEO of GXS Bank, noted this approach aims to serve drivers often overlooked by traditional banks. GXS Bank is also collaborating with carmakers, including BYD, and dealers on packages that may feature preferential deals, servicing, and extended warranties.
New Grab Car Marketplace Opens
Grab also launched a Car Marketplace to facilitate vehicle purchases. The platform currently features new vehicles from dealers such as CarTimes Group, Car Choice Singapore, Volt Auto, VINCAR Group, and Speed Credit. Used vehicles from the GrabRentals fleet are expected to be added in the future.
Grab is considering providing detailed information for these used listings, including EV battery State of Health and cell voltage. All 'Grab Assured' vehicles undergo inspection and come with servicing and a one-year warranty.
Impact on Singapore's Green Mobility
This integrated offering from Grab and GXS Bank aims to accelerate EV adoption among Singapore's ride-hailing drivers. By simplifying access to financing, charging infrastructure, and vehicle procurement, the initiative reduces barriers to entry for green mobility.
This could reshape operational costs for drivers and potentially increase the proportion of EVs in Grab's fleet by the end of 2026, when the services roll out widely. The collaboration also intensifies competition in Singapore's digital banking and mobility sectors, pushing other players to innovate similar integrated solutions for their customer bases.
