Eswin Launches Hong Kong IPO

Beijing Eswin Computing Technology, a Chinese RISC-V chipmaker, will start taking investor orders on Monday, 28 September 2026. The company intends to raise approximately US$300 million through its initial public offering (IPO) on the Hong Kong exchange. Trading of Eswin shares is anticipated to commence on 8 October 2026, marking its debut in the city's public markets.

Financial Performance and Regulatory Clearance

Eswin reported 2.4 billion yuan in revenue for 2025, reflecting a 20 per cent increase from the previous year. Despite this growth, the company recorded a net loss of 1.5 billion yuan in 2025.

The Beijing-headquartered firm has already received approval for its listing from bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), clearing a final regulatory hurdle for its public offering.

Offering's Joint Sponsors

Citic Securities (Hong Kong) and China Securities (International) Corporate Finance Company are acting as the joint sponsors for Eswin's IPO. These financial institutions facilitate new companies' access to public markets. Their involvement supports the logistical and regulatory processes required for the chipmaker’s listing in Hong Kong.

Why it matters

Eswin’s IPO follows a period of reduced technology listings in Hong Kong. Investors will watch if Eswin's debut on 8 October 2026 generates strong demand, indicating renewed interest in the city's IPO market.

This performance will inform future listing decisions for other tech firms eyeing public capital in the region, particularly those considering Hong Kong as a fundraising venue.
