Jollibee International Picks HKEX for Listing, Drops US Plan
Jollibee Foods Corp.’s international unit, JFC International, will list on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. This decision shifts from earlier plans to consider a US listing for the business.

Jollibee International Opts for HKEX
Jollibee Foods Corp. (JFC) will list its international unit, JFC International (JFCI), on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX). This decision shifts from earlier plans considering a US listing. JFC, an Asian food conglomerate, aims to separate its international operations from its Philippine business.
The proposed listing targets HKEX's main board, JFC stated in a stock exchange filing. JFCI will serve as the listing vehicle, holding JFC's current international business portfolio.
Strategic Alignment with Asia
JFC chose Hong Kong after assessing the venue best suited for JFCI’s business, geographic footprint, and investment profile. The company believes HKEX offers the market environment and investor relevance to support JFCI’s long-term ambitions. Hong Kong also represents a natural market for JFCI, given its strong existing presence and brand recognition across Asia.
JFC Chairman Tony Tan Caktiong affirmed Hong Kong aligns with JFCI's business, footprint, and long-term goals. HKEX provides access to a broad base of global and regional investors, supporting growth beyond Asia, including North America.
New Structure and Leadership
The fundamental rationale for the separation remains unchanged: to establish two independently listed businesses. Each entity will have a distinct strategic focus and investment profile, enabling them to pursue individual growth opportunities. JFC will continue its listing on the Philippine Stock Exchange, comprising the group’s Philippine operations.
Richard Shin has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of JFCI, a step towards establishing the company as a standalone entity. He will assume the role full-time after the proposed separation completes.
China Bank Capital Corp. managing director Juan Paolo Colet believes HKEX is a superior listing venue for JFCI. Colet noted HKEX offers a convenient market for Asian companies aiming to attract both regional and global investors. This move demonstrates JFC's strategic alignment with Asia's capital markets for valuing consumer growth companies.
The listing could attract further attention to other Asian consumer brands seeking international capital, reinforcing Hong Kong’s role as a regional financial hub.
